Our contact forms require your permission in order to submit your personal information, such as name, email, address, telephone, etc. Our forms will include a checkbox requesting your approval to share the content of the form before the form may be submitted. If you do not wish to provide your permission you may contact us by telephone.
We also use the Jotform online service for some of our forms. For more information on Jotform’s privacy policies, you can visit their Privacy Policy page on their website.

Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a service that transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and web page usage.
How long we retain your data
If you submit a comment through one of our forms the content of the form and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and respond to any follow-up communications.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, have left comments or submitted forms, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act)
PIPEDA applies to the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information in the course of commercial activity. As specified by PIPEDA we must obtain an individual’s consent when collecting, using, or disclosing an individual’s personal information.
Under PIPEDA, personal information includes any factual or subjective information, recorded or not, about an identifiable individual. This includes information in any form, such as:
• age, name, ID numbers, income, ethnic origin, or blood type;
• opinions, evaluations, comments, social status, or disciplinary actions; and
• employee files, credit records, loan records, medical records, existence of a dispute between a consumer and a merchant, intentions (for example, to acquire goods or services, or change jobs).
An individual may complain to the organization in question (Monam Design) or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about any alleged breaches of the law.
CAN SPAM Act
The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
We collect your email address in order to:
• Book an appointment, send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions
To be in accordance with CANSPAM, we agree to the following:
• Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
• Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
• Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
• Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
• Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
• Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email.
If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us at kathy@downtownlondon.ca and include “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.
Follow the instructions at the bottom of each email and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence.
COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States’ consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.
We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.
Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.
In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:
